Nathans Great Grandma Davis flew into town last weekend. What a blessing to have her with us for two weeks! This morning, my mom brought her over to play with Nate. She had not even sat down before he started in on her! "Great Grandma do you want to color with me, Great Grandma do you want to chase me, Great Grandma let's go outside and play" He convinced her to play catch with him ourside. What a great sport she was. They played together forever!

Oklahoma City Zoo Day!
Yesterday, Nate and I went to the OKC Zoo with our favorite Mommies! We had a fabulous time.

Nate had his first ride on a carousel and a train. I must say, he was NOT very excited about the carousel ; however, once it got started he had a great time! By the end of the ride, he was shouting "Let's go again!"

On the way home from the Zoo, Mommy got a ticket (amazingly not for speeding! The officer BELIEVED I ran a red light. Apparently he needs his eyes checked because it was clearly yellow when we started through the intersection)! While the officer was writing out the ticket for our supposed traffic violation, Nathan was giving mommy a hard time about breaking the law!

Here is a picture of Nate enjoying the train ride with his "girlfriend" Aubree. A few weeks ago, Aubree went up to Nate and informed him that he was her boyfriend. Nate's response was "boyfriend, what's a boyfriend!"

Nate has always had an aversion to animated rides; but not anymore. Go Nathan! Mommy is so proud of you!

Car Trip Home from School
OK, so Nathans antics kept up on the way home from school as well! We usually follow the same roads every time we go to school; however, today I changed it up. Here once again was our conversation!
Nathan: Mom, you are going the wrong way!
Mom: No were not son, we are taking a new way
Nathan: But mom, we need to go straight
Mom: Not this time Nate, we are going to go a new way
Nathan: Mom, are you lost?
Mom: No honey, we are just going a new way
Nathan: Maybe you should use TomTom (our navigation device) cause I think were lost!
He constantly amazes me!!!!!

Car Trip to School
Nate was on his game this morning on our way to school! Here is our conversation!
Nathan: Mom, are you going the speed limit?
Mom: Yes
Nathan: Why?
Mom: Because it's the law, everybody has rules they have to follow, even mommies and daddies.
Nathan: Are you sure your going the speed limit?
Mom: Yes Nathan, why, are we going to fast?
Nathan: No mom, all the cars are passing us and you need to go faster!
Disclaimer for the driver! All the stop lights on the roads we take to school are timed. No matter how fast you drive, you will get stopped at the next light! LOL

It's A Miracle!
Nate's feet hit the floor running at 6:15 AM this morning! As many of you know, Nate DOES NOT play well on his own. Sean and I are working with him on this by making him play in his room by himself for 10 minutes everyday (ok, so it usually lasts only about 5 minutes). This morning every five minutes was "Mommy, what should we play now?". After playing tick tack toe doggy, ride mom as a horse, hi-ho cherrio, and completing our "school work" ie working in our maze and numbers book he took off for his room. I had the baby monitor on from this morning and low and behold, he was playing by himself with out being asked!!!!! He played by himself for 15 minutes! It was a miracle. I tried to sneak in and take a picture, but he caught me.

Happy 2nd Birthday Jack!
On Sunday, we went to our friend Jacks 2nd birthday party. Nate had a wonderful time playing with his friends!
Happy Birthday Master Jack!
Nate's Playdate
Late last year, Nathan and I joined a mommy and me group. What a blessing these ladies have been! We always have such a great time with them. Every week, we have several meetups ranging from out of town adventures to at home play dates. Last week, our friend Diana hosted a small get together to meet some of our newest members. Nathan was the only big boy present! Boy did he have a good time with the ladies!

Let's go to Duck Park Mom!
Nathan loves one of our local parks. The actual name of the park is Liberty Park, but to Nathan it is simply Duck Park! Hundreds of geese and ducks hang out in the small lake (I would call it a pond). He LOVES to tear up bread and feed the animals. So, in an effort to cheer Nate up on Saturday (he was missing his daddy something fierce), we went to feed the ducks and play.

Car Fun
Our conversation on the way to school today!
Nathan: "Mom, do we have any donuts?"
Me: "No, daddy took them with him for the car ride to California."
Nathan: "Where's daddy?"
Me: "On his way to California with Uncle Kevin, why, are you missing him this morning?"
Nathan: "No, I want my donuts!"
He kills me! :)
