Oklahoma State Fair

Last Thursday, we took little man to the OKC fair. It was a trial run to see if he would enjoy Disney World. Nate had a blast! He was a little hesitant of the rides at first but once he went on the ferris wheel, he was hooked. We spent over eight hours at the fair and loved every minute of it!

Nate's favorite ride!

He loved the nemo ride.

"Mom, it was awesome"!

Going down the big slide with dad.

Through out the day he told us he did not want to go on a roller coaster. By the afternoon, he was ready! He had a great time on it.

The Maze

We took little man to The Maze in Hinton, Oklahoma two days ago. We had a great time!

Lounging in the sun before we started.

Little man was so excited he took off running!

Which way should we go?

Just being adorable!

Nate and Sean

Nate decided this was the perfect pumpkin.

The farm had a great petting zoo. Nate really enjoyed the goats.

They had the most amazing inflatable jumper that was built into the ground. This was by far Nate's favorite!

Tumble Time

Last Saturday, we took Nate to the local gym for tumble time. He had a blast!

Our little monkey!

He is getting pretty good at swinging on bars.

Gymnast in training.

He is getting much more brave!

Playing in the rain

Last weekend Nate had a blast playing in the rain..................

After all the water fun, we headed inside to put on tattoos!

Welcom Home Kim and Winston

Our friends came home this week after being gone for two long months. Nate and I are so happy to have them back in town.

The pool after the boys were done playing. It looks like primordial soup!

We had to put them in the tub to get all the paint and dirt off of them.

I want hair like my dads!

For several weeks, Nate had been asking for a haircut like dads. Every time we asked him if he was ready he would say "No, I will be ready in four days". This last weekend we told him he was getting a trim and he needed to decided how he wanted it cut. Dad's buzz cut won....................

He went into the bathroom to see his new haircut and had the oddest look on his face. We asked him if he liked it and he hesitantly said yes. After Sean told him that it would grow back he loved it. He has now decided to keep it forever.

Yummy Smores

Ever since we took Nate to a hibachi grill at a young age, he has been terrified of fire. In an effort to help him overcome his fear, we decided to light up the fire pit and cook some smores. He was awesome! He was scarred at first but in no time he was holding his own skewer of marshmallows over the fire.

As Sean was getting the pit ready, Nate was not sure this was something he was interested in!

He got on board and helped dad load the pit. Every time Nate put in a stick of wood, Ella would pull it out and run around the yard.

Nate running away from the fire.

Woohoo, facing the beast and winning! Go Nathan!

He took all the chocolate out of the smore and proceeded to shove it into his mouth.

I am sure it will take several more attempts until he is comfortable with fire. It breaks my heart to have to eat all those smores!
