Pool Friends

I am not sure if Beagles in general are water animals, but our little Ella is a water baby! Every time we set up the pool, in she goes! Today Nate and I had a few of our friends over for a play date. As I was cleaning out the pool and getting it ready, Miss Ella was running circles around my legs trying to get in. Here are some pictures of the kids swimming.....................

Miss Ella perched on the slide

She loves to go down the slide.

No Nathan, it's my turn

Nate

Here are some random shots of Nate this week.................

It's probably time to take him rollerskating outside!

I went into Nate's room to wake him up from his nap and noticed that he needed new bedding (he had a little accident), so I pulled off his blanket and asked him to go to the bathroom and change clothes. Well, he was having none of that. With a loud Hmmph, he dropped to the floor and promptly fell back asleep!

Dinner with Friends!

Sunday evening our friends Tom, Lindsey and their daughter Lily came over for dinner (yes Lindsey, I stole this picture from your blog! I was having to much fun and forgot to snap any of my own photos). It had been awhile since we had seen them and missed them terribly! Nate was so excited to see Lily again! After dinner we decided to play our favorite WII game Mario Cart. Let me preface by saying that I absolutely stink at this game! Seriously, Nate usually beats me! Anyway, we got creamed! I think Tom came in first in every race! A rematch is definitely in order.

Happy 13th Birthday Lexis

Our friend Lexis turned 13 this past Saturday. Sean, Nate and I went to her Aunties house for a fabulous pool party. We were not sure how little man would do in the pool; he is great with water as long as his feet can touch the bottom. Nate was amazing. He has definitely turned into a water fanatic.

I can't believe it was only four months ago that he REFUSED to get into a pool! He is doing an amazing job conquering his fears!

Weeball Awards Night

Nate's weeball team held an awards ceremony on Wednesday night at our favorite place, Nations of Fun. Every child was given a trophy for their participation in the league.

Nate's favorite game is air hockey. I think "Santa" will be dropping one of these down our chimney this Christmas!

His second favorite game is ski ball!

Lobster Mania!

Last night, we went to Red Lobster for dinner (thanks dad for the gift certificates)! As we walked in, Nate noticed the large lobster tank. The hostess asked Nate if he would like to touch one of the lobsters. Nate stated emphatically "NO thanks"! All through dinner he kept talking about the lobsters. "Why do the lobsters have band aids on"? We explained to him that the "band aids" were rubber bands used to hold the claw together so they could not pinch us. Well, armed with this new information, Nate was willing to do a little lobster touching!

Happy Fathers Day!

Every holiday, Nate and I struggle with what to make dad! We try to do crafts that are relatively easy (otherwise they DO NOT turn out) and useful. This year for Fathers Day, I racked my brain for weeks trying to come up with something, anything for Nate and I to make. Of course I finally decided on a project yesterday! Nate and I made Daddy Bingo cards. Nate drew all the lines and mommy wrote down the letters and numbers. Nate was a huge help calling the numbers out for me. We are very excited about this new game! It will be fun to play and will help Nate recognize his numbers!

Each of us have a card to play with!

Nate's card to dad! My little man is getting so big! I can't believe he is already 3-and-a-half!

Happy Fathers Day Sean! You are an amazing husband and father. Nate & I are so blessed to have you in our lives and we love you!

Outside play

This week, Nate and Aubree spent a large amount of their time together outside! Swimming and playing in the mud topped their favorite things to do!

"Come on Ella"!

Ella thinking about it

Ella decided to go for it! She jumped face first into the pool.

Nations of Fun, Again

On Friday, Nate and I headed to Nations of Fun once again! We absolutely love this place. We met several of our friends for lunch and playtime.

Weeball has come to an end!

Hallelujah! Weeball was a great experience for Nate; however, the three nights a week in entailed was a bit much. He had a great final game. We finally purchased a new camcorder (Nate's foot collided with our old one)! As soon as I figure out how to download , I will post it. Our friends Diana, Aubree, Kim and Winston all came out to cheer Nate on. After the game, we took the kids to Braums for ice cream.

Luau

On Thursday, Nate and I went to our friend Amanda's house for an amazing Luau party! She had her backyard decked out with monkeys, banners, and all kinds of cool stuff! Nate and I had a fabulous time! Here are some pictures of Nate enjoying the festivities!

Showing mommy all the "bugs" he found!

Just being silly.

More fun in the sprinklers!

Water Fun

This week we had our friends Diana and Aubree living with us. They have now moved to Temple, Texas. What a great time we had! We enjoyed every extra moment we were able to spend with them!

On Monday evening, the temperature in Lawton was a balmy 95 degrees! When I went out to water my dying plants, the kids decided to play in the hose. Here are some pictures.........

Water tastes so much better out of the faucet!

More please.

Yes, Nate is doing so well with water on his head now!

Run Aubree, run!

Follow the leader.

Bike Riding/Puddle Riding

In an effort to get moving, Nate and I have started walking in the mornings with our friends Rikki and Charlie. Yesterday was our first walking adventure. Nate did alright; I think the walk was a little to long for his liking. I was not sure how he would do so instead of having him ride his big boy bike, he rode his tricycle that has a handle for mom. Since it was just Nate and I this morning we tried the same walk with the big boy bike. What a difference! We will definitely be using this bike in the future!

"Mom, I think my bike wants to go in the water"!

He decided it was more fun to walk through the water!

Underwear Man

I am not sure if it is his age or the season, but Nate LOVES to go in the backyard in only his underwear! Come to think of it, I believe it just might be a seasonal thing. I seem to remember a little boy with only a diaper on last year. Anyway, this morning as I was tearing apart our kitchen (yes, I am very late on my spring cleaning) I noticed Nate swinging off a tree in the backyard. He was so cute I had to take snap some pictures! Sorry, the picture quality is not that great.
